Next CR7 Nike Mercurial Chapter 4 or 5

This week Nike has been an unquestionable leader. Not only did we get their new collection, which includes Anti-Clog versions of boots, but also new pictures have been leaked, some of them even show boots which won’t launch for the next 6 months. Let’s start with the model better fitting with our calendars, which focuses on the brands greatest star, Cristiano Ronaldo: a new colour set for CR7.

One of the next chapters made for the Portuguese is going to look like this. Above you can see a turf model MercurialX Proximo, and we can tell it’s a part of the footballers collection because of the signing on the inner side of the upper. This time only the number was given a glittering treatment. Most of the boot is grey-silver, except this version of silver has a kind of graphite gloss instead of typical chrome. As far as we can tell the premiere is set for the second quarter of 2017.

This composition seems to be related with the collection released by Nike in 2010 for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. But the time gap between this tournament and the latest released chapter is huge, for example why wouldn’t they mention Ronaldo representing Portugal in UEFA European Championship organised in his country. So either we’re wrong about the interpretation of this colour set, or something else is planned before this edition (which you can see presented on the Victory model). And yes, it seems like Victory with a DF collar wasn’t just a one-time episode .
